Vice Chancellor Message

I am delighted to take a few moments to talk to you about something that is very close to my heart and, I believe, should be of great significance to all of us. I am here to shed some light on the incredible work being carried out by the Centre for Sustainable Development at IGDTUW and to inspire you to be a part of this movement towards a sustainable and responsible future.
The Centre for Sustainable Development plays a pivotal role in bringing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to our university. We recognize the pressing need to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty, inequality, and access to quality education, and we firmly believe that universities like ours have a vital role to play in addressing these issues.

Our center is dedicated to this cause and tirelessly works towards integrating the SDGs into the core fabric of our institution.
Through a myriad of events, workshops, and initiatives, we aim to raise awareness, facilitate dialogue, and inspire action in the realm of sustainability. Whether it's conducting workshops on eco-friendly practices, organizing tree-planting drives, or hosting seminars on gender equality and access to education, every endeavor is geared towards advancing the SDGs.
I am immensely proud of the dedicated team we have at the Centre for Sustainable Development. But here's the most important part - we cannot accomplish these goals alone. We need every single one of you to join this movement and make your own contributions. Our vision for a more sustainable IGDTUW and a better world can only be realized if we work together, with every student actively participating in this cause.
Your participation could be as simple as adopting sustainable practices in your daily life, volunteering at our events, or even bringing forth your own ideas and initiatives. There is a role for each one of you, and your efforts, no matter how small, are valuable.
IGDTUW is not just a place of learning; it's a place where we aim to create responsible, socially-conscious, and environmentally-aware leaders of the future. It's a place where we strive to be the change we wish to see in the world.
