Community Outreach in Burari School
Among many activities lined up in the adopted villages under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) in the month of March 2020, the first awareness campaign of UBA and community engagement Programme was successfully conducted in Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nathupura.
The sequence of activities are listed below:
- The event started with briefing about IGDTUW (in which the University video along with University Theme song was shown)
- An interaction with final year B.Arch students (who volunteered in the midst of their exam session) ensured that students are made comfortable and realize the objective of the mission. Our students proved brilliant role models for the school students.
- Faculty members of UBA explained about UBA, the role of an individual in society building and the impact an educated woman can make in the development of society.
- This was followed by informing students about the painting competition on the theme of SAVE WATER. Couple of short films on this theme were also shown along with verbal explanations by the UBA Cell members.
- Painting competition was conducted with distribution of painting kits by the School Principal
- All entries were displayed and evaluated. Participation certificate was distributed and the top three winners were awarded along with the merit certificates.
- Students were very happy with the event; this was further validated when the first prize winner started crying as she was overwhelmed by the recognition she got. They all thanked
