I am delighted to take a few moments to talk to you about something that is very close to my heart and, I believe, should be of great significance to all of us. I am here to shed some light on the incredible work being carried out by the Centre for Sustainable Development at IGDTUW and to inspire you to be a part of this movement towards a sustainable and responsible future.
The Centre for Sustainable Development plays a pivotal role in bringing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to our university. We recognize the pressing need to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty, inequality, and access to quality education, and we firmly believe that universities like ours have a vital role to play in addressing these issues.

The UBA Cell of IGDTUW made an effort to broaden its reach in the neighbourhood by holding many awareness initiatives over the course of the previous year. IGDTUW chose three schools as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

It has been observed that the female dropout rate from STEM after senior secondary schooling is astronomically high due to a plethora of social and economical reasons. This has led to a skewed STEM demographic, birthed from discrimination and prejudice.

Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UNESCO’s Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP to promote social and emotional learning (SEL) in higher education. The signing ceremony took place at the IGDTUW Campus Auditorium, Kashmere Gate ,Delhi on 5 April 2023, where dignitaries from the institutions were present.
